Porcelain Mug

There is nothing more personal than your favorite mug. We feel like mugs are one of the most personal pieces of pottery you can own. When you reach for your favorite mug, knowing that it's the goldilocks of mugs is a great feeling. Finding that perfect color, shape, and size; and knowing that the handle that fits your hand just right is such a satisfying feeling. We believe we have that mug for you.

Each mug is special but this pattern is particularly special to us. Back in the 70's Diana learned that a common practice used by famed Japanese potter, Shoji Hamada, was to make his own brushes utilizing dog hair made from dogs living in his Japanese village. At the time our dog, Barney, had long hair that lent itself perfectly to making brushes. Brushes were made. We loving refer to this ginko-esque pattern as 'Barney' after our beloved Irish Setter.
