These earrings are handmade, fused, dichroic glass. They're one of a kind. Each piece is composed of Stained Glass and Dichroic Glass (the luminous glass). The artist takes large sheets of glass, cuts them into pieces, stacks, and arranges them by hand. Then she fires them in a kiln at 1500 degrees Fº where the glass melts and fuses together. Most pieces are made of at least 2-3 layers of glass.
Upon removing the fused pieces from the kiln, the artist always finds herself intrigued and delighted by the magical transformation that occurs when raw glass melts into unique, brilliant and explosively luminous universes of color and light.
