Bronze Sculpture

This little sculpture really packs a big punch for such a small package. It would look perfect displayed on a bookshelf, window ledge, desk, or anywhere that just needs a little something. 

In his Michigan studio and foundry, Scott Nelles (the artist) uses the timeless methods of sand-casting and hand-finishing to create objects of beauty, strength and whimsy. The work displays a childlike playfulness, elegant design and superb control of medium.

A hippo glides along the surface of the water. We've heard they very mean, but ours is quite friendly. A customer recently told us she and her husband use this hippo when they play cribbage. They rotate it around each turn so the hippo always faces one or the other when it's their turn. "We never forget whose turn it is!"
