Using a handmade bowl is a great way to enjoy and enhance your favorite meals. Whether you're eating alone or serving a friends, using handmade pottery is a lovely way to showcase your beautifully prepared meal. From watermelon on a hot summer day to your favorite spicy stir-fry on a cold winter night, this is the bowl for you!
Each bowl is special but this pattern is particularly special to us. Back in the 70's Diana learned that a common practice used by famed Japanese potter, Shoji Hamada, was to make his own brushes utilizing dog hair made from dogs living in his Japanese village. At the time our dog, Barney, had long hair that lent itself perfectly to making brushes. Brushes were made. We loving refer to this ginko-esque pattern as 'Barney' after our beloved Irish Setter.
